They say life is too
short and that no one dies twice. It is with deep sorrow and grieve that I came
to learn of the sudden passing on of one of my dearest friend, big sister and a
good neighbor Catherine Wairimu which occurred over the weekend due to short
illness.
Full of life, always happy, outgoing, friendly,
lovely and caring were all the characters that Cate possessed. For the few
times that we spent together I knew that Cate had a huge passion for children
and kids. Its so sad she had to leave this soon, without saying bye, with no
farewell, with no indication that she will be back again?!
We are all passers-by
in this world, and one day when our time comes each one of us will depart from
the earth surface never to come back again, but until then have we done enough
yet for our loved ones? Why do we still keep grudge against on another, why we
don’t seem to care when one of us suffers, where did brotherly and sisterly
love go to? What happened to humanity that people are becoming so
individualistic? You may ask, but truth be told it’s because we no longer care;
everyone is left to mind their own business as they say.
Its heartbreaking to note that it’s a little too
late to start
crying now as no amount of tears would bring Cate back but as this was
happening did we do anything to help save a sister? Certainly I guess not
maybe. If we had showed a little love for our dear sister maybe she could still
be with us now, but Cate is now gone, gone forever never to come back! And as
we are left mourning, weeping and crying, as we start asking God why it had to
happen lets remember to thank the almighty in everything that happens, as it is
with a reason.
As I conclude my tribute, I would like to say, fare
thee well dear sister, you might be gone out of our sight but you will forever
remain in our hearts, deep down our heart we will always love you and wish you
a safe and peaceful resting place wherever you are. I pray that you find favor
in the eyes of God. Till we meet again, adios sister, au revoir and good bye
Cate Wairimu.
With love,
Lisa Biwott.
