Dear Diary,
How are you doing today? I hope you are good as always. For me, I cant say much.
Diary, I have a something to tell you. Yesterday evening, I really had a bad day in the office with a few of my customers but my manager always told me that, its normal for customers to be harsh and since I know customers are always right I logged out and went home but not in my best of moods. Now this morning on my way to work I made a silent prayer that it be a better day than yesterday, but you cant believe what happened! This customer lady, called and just spoiled my good day! Can you believe, she told me I was more annoying than KPLC?! Really diary, seeking your honest opinion can I get that annoying? Well I reserve my comments for her.
Dear diary, this day I would like to give it my best shot in saying a big thank you in a way of appreciating my recent former bosses from R4K. Just in case you still wondering what R4K means, is stands for Recours Four Kenya Consultants, previously known as Recruitment Four Kenya.
This is a brief story of how it all happened. R4K as a new, young recruitment firm needed to do more publicity for their company. One of their most major platforms of marketing was and is still Facebook, and that is where I come in. I joined R4K thanks to Facebook at around May 2013 in the position of Sales and Marketing Representative. At that time, they were based in Langata, but overtime they shifted to Ngong Road and as we speaking they moved office to Westlands, Kipro Centre 4th Floor.
My overall duties included online marketing, registration of new applicants, company blogging, partly customer care, CV and Cover letter revamping and more of Human Resources services (HR). The company used to organize interview training for the registered applicants and new applicants as well. We used to attend career fairs in universities and when invited by other companies. Apparently one of my colleagues I work with in my present job we met during one of the career fairs in KICC! Coincidental right? I know.
Dear diary, let me tell you a few things about my former bosses that you don't know. I call them my bosses but to me they were like a family. Ms. Gloria one of the directors is an angel in disguise! She is one of the best bosses one could ever wish to work under, especially to her lady employees she always ensured that I looked smart all the time. And being a marketing executive, you were always supposed to be the face of the company and thus need the to be presentable. My boss would always go out of her way to buy her 'ladies' make up kit fully packed with all ladies goodies. She was always understanding, caring, very observant and social. I say, she was one tough lady at times but very humble. And if you wont to see a real beauty in a woman, then I give you a reference point, R4K Boss Ms. Gloria!
Diary, I just want to say thank you in brief. Ms. Gloria Michelle and Mr. Allan Ndombi, kindly accept my sincere gratitude from me, Lisa Biwott. This may look like simple words but deep within my heart I really appreciated every single thing that you two did for me, in my career life, professional life and even in my social life. To be honest am a better person today because of you my first employers, you taught me how to behave in both public and private life and today my current boss can stand tall and say you both really did a good job in moulding me.
In the last quarter of 2013, I got an opportunity with a different company, and it was really sad for me bidding farewell to R4K, I wish I could stay there a bit longer, I wish I could get more time to give back my 'thank you's to my bosses, but who said goodbye's are forever, ill find time in out of my busy schedule and go have a chat with them. May God bless R4K, its bosses and the new team, may it grow wings to reach all and sundry. Till we meet again Miss Gloria kindly accept my deep gratitude for job well done. God bless you.Happy valentines in advance, my love for R4K will forever be intact.

DeleteWow thank you Lisa. I am really touched. God bless you with immense new opportunities. It is in giving that God blesses and your reward is not far. Customer service is a requirement in any business as it determines whether a business makes money or not. As you sit at the heart of business everyday, take heart, work hard and believe that your rainbow is coming!!
